It is always unpleasant to buy a defective product. And if they refuse to return your money for it, there is nothing to talk about: the situation is not too happy. How to behave correctly, and what documents to prepare so that a refund for a poor-quality item does not bring any grief?

Step 1
Write an application for a refund for the defective product and give it to the seller. Indicate what your complaints about the quality of the purchased item, when you purchased it, attach all available documents (warranty card, check). Explain that you want to return the item and get your money back. Make copies of the documents you provided and ask the seller to mark your copies as accepting the claim.
Step 2
Remember the date you filed your claim. The money for the defective item must be returned to you within ten days from the date of the claim. This period also includes diagnostics at the expense of the store.
Step 3
If you decide that you want to replace the item, then the exchange must be made within twenty days. Repair of defective goods cannot last more than forty-five days. If the seller violates the above terms, you can collect a penalty in the amount of 1 percent of the value of the goods for each day of delay.
Step 4
At the end of the store's warranty, see if the manufacturer's warranty has expired. If you used the product correctly, and the breakdown was not your fault, you can contact the manufacturer directly and demand a refund for the defective item. However, here one cannot do without expertise.
Step 5
Always write down the last name, first name, patronymic and position of those with whom you communicate. In difficult cases, use a camcorder or voice recorder. This can be helpful when going to court. For the trial, you will need copies of documents that confirm the payment of the independent examination, the results of the examination itself, a copy of the application to the store, and a copy of the refusal issued by the seller.
