There is a part of the tax levies that a citizen of the Russian Federation is obliged to pay to the budget on their own, and not through an employer. These include land, property, transport and other taxes imposed on the property of an individual. They must be paid for according to a receipt sent by the tax office. Sometimes it happens that the receipt has not arrived, and the individual has forgotten about the tax, as a result, a debt to the budget is formed, which can negatively affect, for example, if he wants to go abroad.

Step 1

Find out your debts on the website of the Federal Tax Service, which since July 2009 introduced the ability to check debts using the Internet. Go to the official website of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation, located at the link https://www.nalog.ru/. On the page that opens, there will be a vertical menu at the top, in which you need to select the "Electronic services" section and click on the link "Taxpayer's personal account for an individual". Information about the services of this service will appear. Find the section on tax liabilities and go to it.

Step 2

Read the terms on which data on tax debts of individuals is provided. Click the "Yes, I agree" button if you are ready to provide your personal data.

Step 3

A form will appear with the payer's details, fill in all the necessary data, be careful when entering the TIN code. Select your region of residence in the drop-down menu, which is indicated in the registration. A picture with protection against robots will appear - enter the verification code, then click "Find".

Step 4

If any data was specified incorrectly, the service will issue an appropriate message, after which it will be necessary to make all the necessary corrections. If the inscription “Nothing was found for your request” appears, it means that you have no debt to the budget. Otherwise, a page with the amount of debt will appear, indicating the corresponding tax. If you want to pay the debt, you can download a payment document from the website of the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation, with which you can contact any convenient bank.

Step 5

Check the availability of debt via SMS service, if it is not possible to use the Internet. Use the short number 4345, to which you need to send the message "FSSP - your TIN" or "FSSP - series and passport number". After a while, you will receive a message that there is a debt. The cost of this service is 5 rubles excluding VAT. You can also use the number 8-950-341-00-00, to which it is enough to send your TIN, while the payment for the service is set by the tariff plan of the mobile operator.
