In Russia, new bills are not introduced so often, but when this happens, the attitude towards them is always ambiguous - from total criticism to complete delight. Or new types of currencies appear, which is also an ambiguous factor.

Prehistory

You can imagine what it would be like if the money radically changed its image and was not paper and metal, but for example - all plastic bills or vice versa, on a piece of birch bark. Or digital, which is no longer something out of the ordinary. And what resistance, excitement was caused by the so-called "unreal" money: bitcoins, altcoins, ethereums, etc. Cryptocurrency has existed for more than 10 years and until recently few people knew about it. Now only in a remote village they do not know about digital currency. The reaction to it was not long in coming: from "hype" to complete denial.

What happened in the history of money? They immediately arose in their original form, did not change, there were no riots, denominations, revolutions? And everyone always liked everything?

Of course, it would be better to have coins made of pure gold, like the first money in Ancient Greece in the VIII-VII centuries. BC. The world was changing, the attitude to commodity-money circulation changed, which naturally led to a reduction in the cost of coins, and then to the issue of paper notes. For example, under Nicholas I, the era of the credit card came, he was not supposed to replace money, but the manifesto of July 1, 1841 secured for him the role of the main money. This led to the fact that there were three different currencies in Russia: bank notes, bank notes and deposit tickets. In 1843, banknotes were replaced by a state bank note. Checks, bonds, stocks were actively used.

Then the First World War, the Revolution, the Second World War made adjustments to the monetary reform - there was simply no money. Inflation, speculation, surplus appropriation, food ration cards - all this fell on the heads of the Russians. Having adapted to the new realities of the post-war years, new money appeared in Russia. But everything developed in unstable, discontinuous processes. And, of course, it is worth remembering the 1994 crisis, which was nicknamed “Black Tuesday,” and the 1998 default, which led to the devaluation of the ruble.

So what is the ruble? As Wikipedia tells us: “The ruble is the world's oldest national currency after the British pound. Monetary units of other states have repeatedly changed their names. The ruble has been used in Russia since the 13th century."

Development of banknotes

The modern Russian ruble actually appeared in December 1991 in parallel with the Soviet ruble, which remained in circulation until September 1993. All Soviet coins issued in 1961-1991, as well as coins of 1, 2 and 3 kopecks issued before 1961, formally remained legal tender until December 31, 1998, and in 1999-2002 could be exchanged for Russian money in a ratio of 1000: 1. Russian rubles are also used on the territory of a number of unrecognized and partially recognized states: the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia, the Luhansk People's Republic and the Donetsk People's Republic (in the first two cases, by agreement with the Russian Federation).

And who has seen the denominations of “Ten thousand rubles” and “One hundred thousand rubles”? Maybe I live in some kind of vacuum center, to which these bills did not reach? And the fact that they were printed on bills of 1000 and 100 rubles, respectively, did not shock anyone. So why is there such controversy about the design of the new bills? The bridge leads to nowhere, the emptiness on them is like 20 euros - the list of claims can be continued indefinitely. But have we forgotten that the function of money is to provide its value to the denomination printed on the banknote? In relation to the dollar, since November 10, 2014, the ruble is still in an unstable state. That the same one hundred thousand ruble bill can be bought on Avito for 1000 rubles! And most modern banknotes resemble imperial rubles in design.

But let's approach the new modern banknotes from a patriotic point of view - 200 (two hundred) Russian rubles with the image of the monument to the sunken ships in the city of Sevastopol (obverse) and with the image of the State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve "Tavricheskiy Chersonesos" (reverse) - all this symbolism of the hero city of Sevastopol. Has the right to life!

Appearance of 2000 (two thousand) Russian rubles with the image of the Russian bridge - cable-stayed bridge in Vladivostok (obverse) and with the image of the Vostochny cosmodrome (reverse) - images of the Far East. People themselves voted for what will be depicted on the banknotes, all this is Russia! And what is the current level of protection ?!

  • A QR code, a hologram from counterfeiting, on a real bill, appears in the light:
  • The image of the figure 200 at the column of the monument.
  • Security thread, the denomination of the bill should appear on it - 200.
  • When the bill is tilted, shiny rectangles appear in this place.
  • If the slope is strong, the ruble symbol - ₽ will be visible.
  • With UV glow, the building starts to glow on the front side, a ruble symbol appears in a circle and a small glow around the numbers.

Cryptocurrency

With banknotes and “standard money”, everything is clear, what is cryptocurrency? Two years ago, as an average Russian woman, it was “clear” to me that this is air, and the companies that make money on it (crypt) are scammers and pyramids.

Let's figure it out. what is crypto money. It is a digital or electronic currency with two simple and important properties:

  1. it is produced directly in the virtual network
  2. stored there on the - Internet

The main feature is that the cryptocurrency has no physical counterpart. Whereas “regular money” has collateral - mostly in the form of silver and gold, digital money does not. Since it is impossible to provide computing power. This means that this is the first money that does not have security, they are self-sufficient in themselves. But a special system architecture has been developed that allows you to evaluate virtual money. And even if they cannot be touched, held in hands, they can be exchanged for quite ordinary money and perform other operations that are possible for various currencies - buy something with it and sell it. In Japan, it has long been possible to pay in cafes, gas stations, in stores with bitcoins.

Cryptocurrencies act not only as a means of payment, but also as a way of investing - in recent years, digital money has risen significantly in price, which makes us look at it as a high-risk way to make good money. The most significant disadvantage in this kind of investment is that you cannot predict how much digital money will cost tomorrow. Cryptocurrency systems operate on the basis of blockchain technology - a chain of blocks that store information built according to certain rules in a certain sequence. More than one blockchain wallet has been developed, which also allows you to store money, transfer it into rubles.

Some conclusions

So, you can make intermediate results for the "new" money: the issue of new banknotes is part of society, which contributes to the development of the economy. And no matter how they look, their material value should be an important factor, i.e. their provision. The main thing is stability in the economy.

The emergence of a new currency - cryptocurrency is not a "scam", no matter how many sources of information try to suggest it, namely a new type of money that does not have material security. Electronic money, as a more progressive means, is gradually replacing banknotes, but unfortunately, they do not have their own value.

But digital money also has its downsides:

  1. the course is volatile (the level of price change in the market)
  2. the factors that govern the course changes have not been completely studied, and as a result, it is impossible to overcome the risks.

Well, in conclusion, people use money in different ways, and there is even such an art form as painting with money, a kind of applique made of money.
