Bank card is a small plastic card that is tied to the personal account of one of the banks chosen by the cardholder. Such a card allows today not only to pay for purchases and services, but also to pay for medical care, tax and other types of payments, including withdrawing cash as needed. Sometimes, having received a plastic card from a bank, a citizen needs to perform some actions in order to activate it.

Step 1
Depending on the characteristics of the card and the banking system, there are several ways to activate a cash card. These methods include: activation via phone, Internet banking, ATM or depositing additional funds to the card account.
Step 2
Activating a bank card through the phone Call the phone number that you will find on the bank card itself, in the agreement or attached to the card when issuing an insert. Remember - you should call from a mobile phone or from a landline, which supports the function of switching from pulse to tone mode and vice versa.
Step 3
Follow the instructions of the autoinformer, which will explain what kind of actions and in what sequence you should perform. In this case, you will need to indicate, as a rule, the card number, number and series of your passport, receive or enter the PIN code you invented (depending on the bank) and receive, accordingly, activation in this way. In some banks, to protect the client's account and the information provided to them, it will be necessary to indicate also the T-PIN, which the client will have to come up with and enter later upon activation.
Step 4
Activation via Internet Banking Visit your representative's Internet Banking page. Enter your username and password (provided by the bank). Select the "Bank Card Activation" option. Follow further instructions.
Step 5
ATM Activation Find an ATM that belongs to your bank (identical name of the bank and ATM). Insert your card into the ATM with the correct side. Enter the PIN code provided by the bank. Select the "Activate card" option. Follow the further instructions on the ATM screen.
Step 6
Activation by depositing money into the account Go to the cashier of the bank with your passport and the required amount. Show all this to the cashier, indicating that payment is required to activate the card. In addition to paying at the bank's cash desk, you can also activate the card by depositing the required amount of money through the ATM of the bank that provided you with the card. To do this, find an ATM with the cash-in function, which means accepting cash, insert your card, enter the PIN-code, insert the money into the bill acceptor and wait for the information on the screen that the card is activated.
