A maternity allowance is due to every working woman who is going to become a mother in the near future. The basis for its accrual is the sick leave issued in the antenatal clinic. The employer has the right to reimburse this amount from the Social Insurance Fund.

Instructions

Step 1

Take the necessary package of documents from the employee for calculating maternity benefits. But first of all, she must provide a sick leave issued to her by a gynecologist. It is accompanied by an application for the payment of benefits, a copy of the child's birth certificate, a certificate of registration of the child from the registry office, a certificate from the place of work of the second parent that he did not receive benefits earlier, and a copy of his work book.

Step 2

Accrue this allowance and pay it in a lump sum within 10 days from the date of submission of all documents in accordance with the Federal Law of December 29, 2006 No. 255, Article 15. Do not wait for funds from the FSS, pay benefits from your own funds, otherwise you will violate the deadline for issuing maternity.

Step 3

For reimbursement, submit to the territorial Social Insurance Fund a written application for the allocation of funds, indicating the period for which the benefit will be paid. Indicate the number of the personal account to which the allocated funds will be received. Be sure to attach documents that are the basis for such expenses (sick leave, leave application, order, child's birth certificate, etc.). Also, do not forget to attach payment orders for payment of insurance premiums for the relevant period. The documents and their copies must be certified by the signature and seal of the employer. Do not forget to submit a payroll in the 4-FSS form, where indicate the amount of the benefit, which directly depends on the average earnings. When calculating, one should be guided by the rules for calculating ordinary sheets of incapacity for work. The total number of days of maternity leave is 140.

Step 4

Please note that social insurance is very demanding about the documents on the basis of which organizations are asking to reimburse the costs associated with the payment of maternity benefits. Check carefully the sick leave: it should be issued exactly at the gestational age of 30 weeks. If necessary, the FSS may request additional documents for a desk audit.
