Oleg Vladimirovich Deripaska was born on January 2, 1968 in the city of Dzerzhinsk, Gorky (now Nizhny Novgorod) region. At the age of 7 he moved with his family to the small southern town of Ust-Labinsk, where he graduated with honors from high school. After that, Deripaska was drafted into the army, and for two years he served in Transbaikalia, demobilized with the rank of senior sergeant.
