Any owner of a bank card can face such a nuisance as losing it. You can leave the card at the ATM, forgetting to pull it out, or not pick it up by paying in a store or restaurant. As soon as this was discovered, you should immediately block access to the money on the card. For clients of Alfa-Bank, this can be done quickly enough. In March 2011, the bank introduced a new service for cardholders, and now the question of how to urgently block the Alfa-Bank card is no longer among the clients.
Instructions
Step 1
Activate the "Alfa-Check" service on your mobile phone. To do this, using your username and password, enter your personal account in the Alfa-Click Internet Bank. Select the menu item "Alpha-Check Connection". Mark with the cursor those bank cards for which you want to receive notifications about operations performed with them using sms messages. Enter your mobile phone number to which you want to receive this information and click the "Connect" button. In the request window, enter the one-time password sent to your phone, click the "Send" button. From now on, the service has been activated.
Step 2
If you are a subscriber of MTS, Beeline or Megafon-Moscow, then send a message with the text block to the short number 2265. Its numbers correspond to the letters in the word bank. Subscribers of other telecom operators should send this message to another number - (+7 903) 767 22 65. You will easily remember these numbers, since they correspond to the word smsbank. After that, you will receive a request from Alfa-Bank with a list of card numbers. In response to it, send a message with the word block, after which put a space, an asterisk (*) and write the last four digits of the card number that you want to block. For example block * 1234.
Step 3
You can also easily unlock the card in the event that your loss is found. Only now you will need to use the word unblock in the message. The short numbers for sending sms messages remain the same.
Step 4
You can also block funds on the card using the "Alfa-Consultant" service. To do this, if you are in Moscow or the Moscow region, dial the number (+7 495) 78-888-78; residents of other regions need to dial 8 (800) 2000-000. Switch to tone mode and then press the number "3" for emergency blocking of the card or "4" if it can already be unblocked.
