Bonuses are the most common form of employee motivation in an enterprise. And the accrual of bonuses depending on the hours worked is considered, among other similar options, the simplest way.
Since the bonus accrued on the worked hours refers to one-time remuneration, then its amount is also fixed. There are often cases when an employee, with this bonus option, has not completed a full calendar month. This provides for an appropriate recalculation, which is made in proportion to the actual period worked.
Accrual settings
- "One-time bonus (from the worked time) (Accrual)" - open the window;
- column "Name" (set "Bonus one-time (from hours worked) in the line);
- column "Purpose of accrual" (set "Bonus");
- column "Accrual in progress" (set "Only if the value of the indicator is entered");
- "Amount of One-Time Bonus" (check the box) - the indicator fixes the billing period (current month) and the document in which the calculation itself will be made ("Calculation of salaries and contributions");
- the amount of the bonus is formed in the formula editor of this type of calculation or in the section "Indicators of payroll" (select "Settings" in the menu);
- enter the window "Amount of One-time Prize (Indicator)";
- column "Name" (setting "Amount of One-Time Prize");
- column "Purpose of the indicator" (select the value "For employee");
- column "Indicator type" (select the value "Numerical");
- column "Used" (select the checkboxes for "Only in the month in which it is entered …" and "Entered in a single document …");
- check that in the document "Data for calculating salaries" this indicator does not appear as a monthly indicator for this employee.
Data input
The calculation of a one-time bonus, which depends on the hours worked, is made according to the formula:
SP x OV / ND, where SP is the amount of the bonus, OV is the hours worked, and ND is the norm of days.
The data for calculating this formula are entered into the program ZUP 3.1 as follows:
- section "Salary" (click on the link "Data for calculating salaries" in the menu);
- Journal "Data for the calculation of salaries" (the document where the bonus is calculated);
- "Create" (click the button);
- select the form "Amount of One-Time Prize";
- in the section "Settings" select "Templates of initial data for payroll calculation";
- column "Name" (indicate "Amount of the Single Prize");
- column "For an employee" (put a "daw" in front of "Amount of One-time Bonus");
- if necessary, you can use the "Additional" tab (check the box in front of the line "Several employees are used in the document");
- document "Data for the calculation of wages" (the amount of the bonus is entered);
- document "Calculation of salaries and contributions" (check the calculation according to working off).
It should be noted that the calculation of a one-time bonus in the "Calculation of salaries and contributions" document is more preferable than in the "Bonus" document (it is required to indicate that the calculation is carried out "According to a separate document"). Indeed, it is in the first case that a real picture of the working time is guaranteed.
