In accordance with the current Russian legislation, a license for the right to acquire a long-barreled (hunting) weapon is issued for six months. During this time, the license holder must decide on the acquisition of weapons or surrender the license to the licensing authorities that issued it. Renewal and renewal of a license is not provided for by law.
Instructions
Step 1
As for the carrying and storage of weapons for self-defense, such a license is issued for a period of five years. The license entitles you to purchase no more than five weapons during the specified period.
Step 2
Hand over the license for the purchase of smooth-bore weapons within two weeks from the date of purchase of the weapon, which is subject to mandatory registration. Re-registration is required every five years. The presence of a license entitles its holder to purchase five units of smooth-bore, short-barreled and rifled weapons. If this is not enough, in accordance with the law, it is necessary to design the collection.
Step 3
The right to obtain a license belongs to adult citizens who have a permanent place of residence, who are not registered in psycho-neurological and narcological dispensaries, who have not been convicted of an intentional crime and who have not committed a repeated administrative violation within a year. In addition, the license applicant must be mentally healthy and have good eyesight.
Step 4
The license for weapons is issued by the permitting departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the place of residence. There you must provide a personally completed application card, present your passport and a photocopy of the spread of its second and third pages, two photographs on matte paper measuring 3x4 cm, a medical certificate (form 046-1) and a receipt for payment of the state duty.
Step 5
You should also be aware that a rifle license is issued only after five years of legal possession of a smooth-bore weapon. In this case, a prerequisite is the availability of a special safe for storing weapons at the place of residence.
Step 6
If you change your residence registration, renew your weapon permit within two weeks. An expired rifle license can only be renewed after a year. If the license for a smooth-bore weapon turned out to be expired, a rifle permit can be issued only a year after the renewal of the license for a smooth-bore weapon.
