The relationship between the seller of goods and its buyer is governed by the Civil Code of the Russian Federation and the Federal Law "On the Protection of Consumer Rights." However, this law stipulates not only the rights of the buyer, but also of the seller, who also has the opportunity in some cases to refuse to return the goods.

Step 1
The condition for the return of goods of good quality is compliance with the 14-day period, not counting the day of purchase of the goods. But such a reason as "disliked" or "changed his mind" does not work here. According to the law, you must exchange goods that did not suit the buyer in terms of size, style, dimensions or configuration. So, for example, if the store has the same product of a different size, you may well refuse to return the money paid.
Step 2
For a negative decision regarding the return, according to Art. 25 of the law, it may be that the presentation of the returned product or its original packaging is violated. In the event that the goods were in use, there are no factory labels and seals, you also cannot satisfy the buyer's request for a return of the goods.
Step 3
In addition, there is a list of good quality goods that cannot be returned or exchanged in any way. In addition to personal hygiene items, linen, medicines, etc., it includes some types of technically sophisticated household goods. These are the ones for which the warranty period is established. You will have to return the money if the buyer manages to prove that it is impossible to use the product, and its repair took more than 30 days in total during the year of operation.
Step 4
Study Art. 18 and 19 of the Law, in them you will familiarize yourself with the rights of the consumer upon detection of a defect in the product and the terms during which these rights can be claimed. An elementary violation of such deadlines may already serve as a legal right to refuse the return of goods.
Step 5
You can also leave the buyer's requirements unsatisfied if the rules for the operation or care of the product have been violated. For example, a garment was washed, while only dry cleaning was recommended.
