When traveling in Asia, take into account the local peculiarity: bills with a higher denomination will be exchanged for you at a more favorable rate. The lower the denomination of the bill, the worse the exchange rate will be. And do not forget to immediately count the money received. Take your time, as it is not surprising to get confused with an unfamiliar local currency in the first days of your stay.

Find out the banks' working hours. Many tourists, having come there after closing in the hope of changing the currency, become victims of numerous scammers who are already waiting for them at closed doors. And hide the received money in safe places so as not to seduce thieves, for whom careless newcomers are a source of good income.

Do not exchange money from your hands or in dubious shops. In addition to the likelihood of becoming a victim of deception, you also lose the opportunity to receive an exchange receipt. It may be required in some countries when you have local currency left and need to exchange it for dollars or euros. If it was not possible to exchange it back at the bank, try again at the airport, the orders are more loyal there. In addition, duty-free shops at many airports accept local money.
