If an image of a tooth or a large inflatable eye looks at passers-by from the window of a pharmacy, this attracts attention, but it does not add to the desire to visit such a pharmacy. How to properly arrange a pharmacy showcase? There are several rules and recommendations on this score.
Pharmacy showcase design rules
When designing a pharmacy showcase, several rules should be followed. First, you need to rely on the impulse buyer. Those people who need a certain drug will buy it one way or another, regardless of the window design.
In order to induce a person to make an impulse purchase, you will need:
- to enlarge the models of products located in the outer showcase, in the upper and in the inner parts;
- put at the checkout exactly those products that fit into the category of so-called impulse purchases.
Secondly, when decorating a pharmacy showcase, you do not need to allow excessive variegation. Otherwise, it can alienate buyers from the decision to purchase dietary supplements, vitamins, hygiene products, as well as pharmacy sweets. It should be borne in mind that a significant part of unplanned purchases falls on such products.
Thirdly, the outer showcase of a pharmacy can be decorated quite creatively, thanks to which your outlet will attract the attention of potential buyers. So, it is allowed:
- application of inscriptions directly on the glass wall of the showcase;
- plot arrangement of mannequins;
- use of original lighting and mirrors.
Fourth, internal drugstore display cases located in a retail space usually do not require creativity. The fact is that inside a pharmacy, consumers' attention is drawn directly to the products. Medicines should be neatly distributed on the shelves, depending on the area of application of the pharmacy products.
Do not forget that there are legal requirements for the design of a pharmacy showcase. All of them emphasize that when prescription drugs are in it, the storage conditions must be observed, or only boxes of drugs must be displayed.
Pharmacy showcase design: recommendations
Only glass products should be used as pharmacy showcases. Such showcases contribute to a better overview of products. They can be rectangular, hexagonal, triangular and semicircular, taking up little space. Doors with a multi-lock and shelves in the sales area should also be made of transparent glass.
The back wall of the display case must be mirrored.
In pharmacy showcases, it is necessary to provide for the presence of a halogen spotlight. It should be borne in mind that its location affects the general appearance of items on the shelf. For example, the volume of packages visually increases with side lighting, and with bottom and top lighting, the attention of buyers is directed to the horizontal edges of the product.
Pharmacy showcases with hot goods should not be placed near the checkout or at the entrance, they should be in the middle between these objects. Do not forget about the bright decorative elements.
Pay special attention to zoning, as well as the design of the checkout area where small goods are located: ascorbic acid, hematogen, hygienic lipstick, mineral water, etc. Moreover, these products should be placed at eye level or slightly below.
