What do you need to get a salary card from Sberbank?

Step 1
Contact any branch of the Sberbank of the Russian Federation convenient for you. It is best if it is located near your place of residence or from your place of work.
Step 2
Choose the type of card convenient for you, in consultation with a specialist. Keep in mind that some cards are serviced free of charge, while others will have to pay. The amount of servicing a plastic card usually does not exceed $ 10-30 per year. For example, you do not need to pay anything for servicing a Maestro card, and for a Visa card (with which you can make payments, including at foreign online auctions), the cost of servicing will be 700 rubles for the first year and 450 rubles for each subsequent year.
Step 3
Fill out the application form, indicating your personal data, telephone number and address of residence. You also need to come up with and provide a password to access the card. You will be given the details of your account, which you can already tell your employer for payroll. Please pay attention to the fields "account number" and "bank card number": the employer needs the account number to calculate the salary.
Step 4
The term of production of a card depends on its type, but usually does not exceed 5-7 working days. After the expiration of this period, contact the Sberbank branch again to receive the card. Together with the card in a sealed envelope, you will receive a four-digit pin-code for working with the card. You will also be asked to activate the "mobile bank" service (for the first 3 months you will receive sms about cash flows on your account for free, and then a subscription fee of 15 rubles per month will be charged for this service - funds for this service are debited from the card).
Step 5
The Sberbank plastic card is issued for a period of 3 years: its validity period is indicated on the front side of the card. After the end of the active period, you need to contact the Sberbank branch with a request to reissue the card: in this case, only the card number will change, and the account number will remain unchanged. When reissuing a card, no additional information is required to the accounting department at the place of work.
Step 6
If the employer takes over the registration of the Sberbank salary card (in some organizations, the procedure is carried out centrally), make sure that the envelope with the application form, which contains your password for access, is securely sealed. In such a situation, reinsurance will not hurt: after receiving the card in your hands, it is recommended to contact the Sberbank branch with a request to change the password.
