Step 1

Part-time work is often confused with part-time or part-time work. In fact, the employee and the employer, in accordance with Russian law, have the right to agree on the length of the working day. Therefore, a person working part-time can only have a given place of work, which will be the main one, i.e. not to be a part-time worker, but to receive payment in proportion to the hours worked.

Step 2

Remuneration for part-time workers is also carried out in proportion to the hours worked or depending on the output, or on other conditions determined by the employment contract. If a part-time worker works in regions where various allowances or coefficients are provided, then the salary is charged to him in accordance with these allowances.

Step 3

All the conditions of remuneration for a part-time worker must be stipulated in an employment contract. But at the same time, it should be remembered that he can receive less than the established minimum wage, since the minimum wage implies that an unskilled worker will work the norm of working time established by law - 40 hours a week. For part-time employees, the duration of the working week should not exceed 20 hours. Consequently, the salaries of part-time employees will be lower than those of the main employees.

Step 4

However, like all other workers, part-time workers have the right to receive compensation and benefits provided by law. These include the payment of leave, including maternity leave, childcare, payment of temporary disability certificates, etc. But at the same time, part-time workers in the event of a reduction in staff are not paid redundancy benefits, since they have their main place of work. In addition, part-time workers are not entitled to guarantees due to persons working in the Far North, as well as combining training and work.
