A classic small business idea is to open a rental shop. After all, some things people use only a few times in their lives - so why buy them when you can rent them? For example, you can rent sports equipment or cars for visitors. Consider the principle of organizing a rental point for construction tools.

Step 1
Select the location of the rental point. The premises do not have to be rented in the city center. An area of about 40 square meters will be sufficient.
Step 2
Purchase the necessary equipment and supplies. The room should have a customer service counter and racks for storing tools. Purchase a table and a chair for the staff from furniture. Also get a computer, printer and telephone.
Step 3
Decide on the assortment of the rental point. At the rental point, you should have an assortment of goods with a list of about 30 items. They can be conditionally divided into groups:
- impact-rotary tools (jackhammer, perforator, wrench, drill, etc.);
- welding, compressor and assembly tools (lawn mower, welding machine, spray gun, etc.);
- cutting and grinding tools (saws, hacksaws, vibration grinder, angle grinder, etc.);
- machine tools and construction machines (concrete mixer, vibratory saw, parquet grinder, heat gun, etc.) It is impossible to guess in advance what will be in demand, so buy at least one name of each tool. In the future, you will be able to focus on customer needs and bribe those tools that are in demand. You can purchase not only household tools, but also more professional equipment. Although it is more expensive, it lasts longer and can be rented out to a construction team.
Step 4
Select the staff of the rental point, namely: a specialist in the reception and delivery of tools and a tool repairman. The repairman will be obliged to monitor the performance of the tool, to repair it. Take on this position as a generalist, someone familiar with many instruments. The specialist in the acceptance and delivery of the tool will have to conclude a rental agreement with clients, accept money. This work can also be combined by a repairman. Some entrepreneurs advise to hire an accountant and a lawyer - to resolve disputes with non-return of the instrument. However, you can manage these functions yourself or contact these specialists one-time, without registering on the staff.
Step 5
Advertise the newly opened tool rental. This does not require a large-scale advertising campaign, just ads in local media, Internet directories, posting ads in passable places.
