At first, not everything will turn out smoothly, mistakes and miscalculations are inevitable. To learn how to trade real financial instruments without risking the loss of your investments, use a demo account. It allows you to make transactions in real time, but not with real, but with virtual money.

Step 1
For example, consider opening a demo account for trading on the interbank Forex market. First, select a go-to-market company (broker). Different brokers offer different types of trading equipment for performing currency transactions. The most widespread and popular among traders is the MetaTrader trading terminal. Almost all brokerage companies provide it free of charge.
Step 2
Go to the home page of the website of the brokerage company of your choice. Follow the link "Demo Account".

From the page that opens, download the file containing the MetaTrader program to your computer's hard drive. After downloading, run the installation exe-file and install the program on your computer, following the instructions that appear when unpacking the program. It is recommended to close all other programs running on the computer when installing the trading terminal in order to avoid installation errors.
Step 4
Run the installed program on your computer. After the first launch, MetaTrader will automatically offer you to create a demo account. To do this, in the window that opens, fill out the proposed form (conditional name of the account, your location, phone number, e-mail address, etc.). Here, select the size of the leverage and the initial amount of funds. Put a tick in the box "I agree to receive news by mail" and click the "Next" button.
Step 5
In the new window that opens, select one of the offered trading servers (for a demo account, select the appropriate Demo server). Click the Scan button. After automatic scanning, click the Next button.
Step 6
In the window that opens, you will see the username assigned to you, the working password and the investor's password (it is intended only for viewing, without the right to perform trading operations). Record this data and keep it out of the reach of unauthorized persons. Click the "Finish" button - this will complete the procedure for creating a demo account.
Step 7
After registration, a line with the name of your account will appear in the window of the trading terminal named "Navigator". To perform virtual transactions on the account, double-click on this line with the "mouse", in the window that appears, enter your username and work password. The account is ready for transactions with virtual money.
