Nobody is insured against buying a low-quality product. In stores and supermarkets, you can buy not only spoiled products that are harmful to health, but also shoes that fall apart after the first wear, household appliances that refuse to work, clothes that creep at the seams. In this case, you are obliged to exchange a low-quality product or return money for it, even if the receipt has not been preserved.
Instructions
Step 1
If you bought a low-quality product, do not delay returning it, hurry to the point of sale. And don't forget the check. This is the main and most compelling document confirming the fact of the sale of low-quality goods. But what if the check is lost? It will be much more difficult to defend your innocence, but it is still quite real.
Step 2
Remember that a receipt is not required when returning a defective product. The fact confirming the purchase of goods, in addition to the cash register receipt, includes a receipt for a cash receipt, a duly executed technical passport, operating instructions, packaging elements and other documents that may contain information about the seller, the cost of the goods and the date of its purchase.
Step 3
If none of the above documents have survived, or the packaging, for example, does not contain indications of this particular seller, then you can ask witnesses to confirm the fact of the purchase. So shopping with friends or family is very rewarding.
Step 4
Difficulties can arise when returning substandard food products. A particular difficulty is the acquisition of low-quality food products on the market. It is unlikely that spoiled and stale food bought at the bazaar will be returned to the seller in order to exchange it for quality food, and even more so in order to return the money. But it is still worth returning such products to a store or supermarket. There you are required to exchange the goods, although refunds are extremely rare.
Step 5
Going to the place of purchase, do not be lazy and read the "Consumer Protection Law". This will give you an idea of what sellers owe you and what rights you have in this area. When returning a defective product, first contact the seller who sold the product to you. If he refuses your request, feel free to contact the chief manager, store director or his deputy.
Step 6
If you are unable to get the truth in the store, contact the Consumer Protection Organization. But before that, you will receive a motivated refusal to refund or exchange goods at the place of purchase.
