The work of a private security guard is currently in fairly good demand, despite the consequences of the crisis and an increase in unemployment. The bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are taking measures aimed at improving the quality of security services. First of all, such measures affected the licensing of security activities. Thus, the procedure for licensing security activities has become stricter, more complicated and financially burdensome. How do you get a private security license?
Instructions
Step 1
Contact the district department of the Internal Affairs Directorate that carries out licensing and permitting activities. The employees of the permitting system will provide you with information about all the data required to obtain a license. Keep in mind that there is no single standard form of documents, and the requirements for documents in different departments may differ slightly.
Step 2
Take a medical examination, which will determine your suitability to work as a private security guard. After passing the medical commission, you will receive a standardized certificate valid in the territory of the Russian Federation. Formally, such a certificate is also an admission to weapons.
Step 3
If you have not previously served in the internal affairs bodies or state security structures, you will also have to go through the fingerprinting procedure.
Step 4
After collecting the package of documents, go to a special school that trains and awards security guards, where you should undergo initial training in a private security course. The school must be licensed to provide such training. After successfully passing the tests, you will receive a certificate of completion of the courses and a diploma of a security guard.
Step 5
The next stage is the passing of a qualification exam for employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The exam includes a theoretical part in the form of ticket answers to questions about private security activities, as well as a practical part: handling special equipment, security systems, handling weapons and knowing how to use them. Based on the results of the exam, you will be awarded a qualifying rank. The level of your future salary as a security guard will ultimately depend in part on the level of the discharge. Obstacles to obtaining a license and a private security certificate after going through these procedures should not arise, if you are 18 years old, you are a citizen of Russia and have no criminal record.
