They say that whoever knows how to sell fruit can sell any product. Despite the fact that fruits are constantly in demand, the organization of their sale has its own subtleties.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide on the assortment of fruits and make purchases of fresh goods on time. Please note that fruits are perishable, so order in small quantities. Severely unripe fruits are also not worth buying, because they can lie on the counter.
Step 2
Select the packaging for the fruit. It is advisable to offer the buyer different types of packaging - substrates with film, nets, paper and plastic bags with holes. Each package has its own merits. The net facilitates transportation, through it you can see the goods. It is convenient to spread fragile fruits such as grapes on the substrate. Pay attention to the weight of the fruit in the package, it should correspond to the demand for this product. But the most advantageous option is the sale of both packaged and bulk goods.
Step 3
Organize your product display correctly. Arrange the fruit beautifully in slides and small piles. Place only ripe, whole, clean fruits on the showcase. Arrange fruits according to size, color, shape. A potential buyer should be attracted by the appearance of your product. It is advisable that the showcase is not covered with glass. In this case, the buyer himself chooses the product he likes, and the smell of fresh fruit attracts attention and increases the percentage of sales. Remember that the fruit display is an advertisement for your product.
Step 4
Observe the storage conditions for fruits, as even fresh and high-quality products can quickly deteriorate if stored improperly. For each type of fruit, if possible, its own temperature regime and humidity level should be observed. Please note that some fruits cannot be stored with each other. For example, apples give off ethylene gas, which speeds up the ripening process, and many fruits, bananas, for example, near apples, provide rapid decay. However, in any case, fruit spoilage is inevitable. At the first sign, it will be more effective to reduce the price of perishable goods than to simply throw it away later.
