More often, the production of business cards is ordered by professional designers, but the modern capabilities of computers and peripheral equipment allow you to do everything you need to make them at home. In this case, the most serious task will be creating a business card design. It can be solved by choosing a ready-made template and editing it to your liking.
Perhaps the most affordable way to find a business card template is to use the Microsoft Office Word word processor. The latest versions of this program (starting from 2007) have built-in access to the repository of templates for various documents located on the company's server. There are also blanks of business cards. To get to it, you need to click on the "File" button in the application interface and open the "Create" section in the menu that appears. After that, a list of categories will appear in the “Available Templates” list, among which there will be “Business Cards”. In it, you can select the most suitable option, and then edit it as needed and save it to your computer.
There is another application in the Office suite that contains even more business card templates - Microsoft Publisher. True, this program is less popular than a word processor, so it will take some time to master.
It will take even more time to understand the graphics editor Adobe Photoshop, but there are more different templates for this application than for any other program. They are easy to find on the Internet. Graphic editor is an application that allows you to create the most advanced visual design of business cards of all tools suitable for this purpose. Adobe Photoshop can be replaced by its competitor, CorelDRAW. There are also quite a few templates for this graphics editor. The format used by this application is not compatible with Photoshop, therefore, unfortunately, using templates of both applications in a “non-native” editor without special file transformations will not work.
On the Internet, you can also find services that offer to create a business card online directly in the browser. The advantage of this method is that it does not require any additional programs other than a browser. And the main disadvantages are limited opportunities and a small selection of ready-made business card templates.
