The Russian mobile operator MTS and the PrivatBank banking group have launched a mini-terminal iPay on the digital devices market. With the help of new items, you can pay for goods and services anywhere.
The new iPay mini-terminal is a small plastic device measuring 1.5 x 1.5 cm. It works with any equipment based on Windows, Android or MacOS operating systems. The iPay is inserted into the headphone jack. There is a magnetic tape inside the device that allows you to read information from a bank card and make a payment.
The iPay mini-terminal is activated thanks to a special application of the same name for mobile devices. It can be downloaded for free on the PrivatBank website, in the Google Play and App Store stores. To carry out an operation to transfer funds, the mobile device must be connected to the Internet.
To make a payment from a bank card through the iPay terminal, open the application intended for this, specify the payment amount, currency type and payment purpose. Then swipe your bank card inside the iPay connected to your phone or computer.
The proceeds can be immediately credited to the current account or card. The commission for the operation is 1.5% when using PrivatBank cards and 2.5-2.7% - for cards of other Russian and foreign banks.
To date, within the framework of the pilot project, about 3 thousand iPay mini-terminals have been produced, which can be purchased in MTS stores in the Moscow region. The cost of the mini-terminal is 150 rubles, and 100 of them are returned to the client's account when making the first transactions.
The novelty allows you to pay for goods or services anywhere. Such devices are especially convenient in the absence of cash. iPay can become indispensable helpers for travel and insurance agents, taxi drivers and small entrepreneurs. It is also convenient to use them to pay for purchases made in online stores.
