In some cases, an individual entrepreneur is faced with the need to complete his activity. The reasons can be very different. Sometimes a business opened by an entrepreneur does not bring the long-awaited income; the legislation or conditions for the implementation of a particular type of activity may also change. In any case, when closing your business, you must comply with all legal requirements.

Instructions

Step 1

Having made the final decision to terminate your activity as an individual entrepreneur, prepare all the necessary documents for this. If necessary, refer to the Federal Law "On State Registration of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs" and the Tax Code of the Russian Federation.

Step 2

Write a statement in the established form approved by the Government of the Russian Federation dated June 19, 2002, entering your data and reasons for the termination of activities in it. Pay the state fee, specifying its amount at the moment with the registration authority.

Step 3

Obtain a document from the territorial body of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation that confirms the provision of the necessary information to the Pension Fund. Before that, close all obligations for mandatory payments to the Pension Fund and other extra-budgetary funds where you are registered as an entrepreneur.

Step 4

Within five days from the date of submission to the relevant authority of the application for the termination of entrepreneurial activity, submit a declaration to the tax inspectorate, reflecting in it the data from the beginning of the tax period until the day of filing the application (inclusive).

Step 5

Pay off the arrears of payments to the Social Insurance Fund and deregister the sole proprietorship there. To do this, you will need to submit an application to the regional office of the Fund. Be prepared for an on-site inspection of your business by representatives of the Social Insurance Fund; such a moment is provided for by law.

Step 6

If you wish and if necessary, publish in the mass media a message about the termination of your activity as an individual entrepreneur, but this cannot be made to you as a duty.

Step 7

Wait for a decision on your application. The registering authority will accept it within a period of no more than five days from the date of submission of documents. After making a corresponding entry in the register, your company is considered closed.
