Step 1
Before making a decision to join the SRO (independent regulatory organization) of designers, clearly determine the list of design work for which the admission of this company is required. The classifier of works changes periodically, so be sure to follow the innovations in the legislation.

Choose your SRO carefully. Pay special attention to its stability and authority in the construction market, because moving to another similar organization will lead to additional expenses: all contributions made to the SRO will not be returned to you.
Step 3
Evaluate the activities of the selected SRO and your "pluses" from joining its ranks. If necessary, consult with independent experts who have experience and will give a comprehensive professional assessment.
Step 4
Carefully read the requirements of the SRO of designers on the procedure for joining its ranks. Basically, the wishes are the same and are subject to legislative acts, but there may be nuances that you should know about in advance. Most often they relate to the collection and execution of a package of documents, contributions, as well as subsequent control, etc.
Step 5
Prepare in accordance with the requirements and correctly complete the entire package of documents. You will need documents on the registration of your organization, on working specialists, as well as documentary evidence of the availability of a material and technical base for further activities and other requested materials.

Be aware that a qualified team of employees is one of the main requirements of an SRO for a design organization. Provide documents confirming the regular professional development of specialists in training centers in the areas of those works for which the planned admission is required. The main condition is the availability of a license from these centers to carry out educational activities, as well as approved programs in the selected areas.

Keep in mind that certification of design specialists is also required to join an SRO. As a rule, a specialist can pass it immediately after completing refresher courses, without leaving the same training center, and receive an appropriate certificate.

Do not forget about civil liability insurance, which is also mandatory, because the existence of a civil defense insurance contract confirms the organization's ability to minimize possible risks in the event of an insured event from damage as a result of its activities.
Step 10
A special place is occupied by the presence of the ISO certificate. This is not a prerequisite, but many SROs think differently and expose it. But, on the other hand, the ISO certificate is beneficial for the design organizations themselves, since it is a confirmation of the provision of high quality services, and may also be needed to participate in international competitions, exhibitions and projects.

After reviewing the SRO of your package of documents and making a positive decision, pay all the necessary fees. The size of the admission and membership fees is determined by the regulatory company independently and is directed to support its activities. Contribute $ 150,000 to the compensation fund.r., the amount is determined by law. This contribution is intended to cover possible damage in the event of errors in the design documentation.
Step 12
Obtain a certificate of the requested work permit. It is an indefinite document, i.e. acts throughout the entire stay of your organization as part of this SRO of designers, and also has no territorial restrictions in the Russian Federation.
