For every person who has his own business or is just starting to create it, the issue of control over his enterprise is very relevant. Traditionally, control is understood as fixing violations and failures in the management system of various aspects of the company's activities. However, this concept should be interpreted more broadly, as one of the elements of the business management loop.
Instructions
Step 1
Determine the goals of the control system that you intend to create. Highlight those aspects of the company's activities that you intend to control. Answer the question: what is the ultimate goal of control? Ideally, the goal is not only to identify errors in the activity, but also to correct a particular business process.
Step 2
Analyze the current situation in your business. Realize and write down on paper what moments in business do not suit you and for what reason. It is more convenient to draw up a detailed diagram of the production process, including all the operations that make up the company's activities (including management processes).
Step 3
Formulate the end result you want to achieve. You should have a perfect image of how the company should be doing. Take an inventory of the resources required to achieve the result. It should be not only financial resources, but also resources of time, personnel, organizational factors.
Step 4
Make a plan of action to achieve the ideal end result. What immediate actions should be taken to improve the manageability of a particular structure? Avoid general wording. Actions should be as specific as possible: "to check the internal electronic document management system in order to identify its vulnerabilities."
Step 5
Organize activities to accomplish your plans. For each point of the plan, outline the person responsible for the implementation and the deadline for the implementation of the event. Consider allocating the time and resources needed to complete each step.
Step 6
Determine the so-called control points. What specific indicators will be monitored? What is the criterion for the effective and rational management of the factors selected for control?
Step 7
Think over and develop a system of employee motivation. This factor is one of the most important in the system of control and management of business structures.
Step 8
Monitor company performance regularly and as planned. Make adjustments as needed throughout the entire control loop, including planning, organizing, coordinating, and motivating.
