Carrying passengers in and around the city can be a lucrative business for an entrepreneur who has invested in the creation of his fleet of cars. The path to success in this field of activity lies through a lot of problems and serious responsibility, but the reward for those who mastered it is not only a stable income, but also an awareness of the usefulness of his undertaking for society.
It is necessary
- 1. A fleet of cars of the corresponding class (minibuses), consisting of at least 5 units of transport;
- 2. A base for your fleet with the possibility of stationary maintenance of machines;
- 3. Drivers for work on minibuses, dispatchers, an agreement with a visiting accountant;
- 4. Routes developed for your transport, coordinated with the city or district administration;
- 5. License for the right to carry out passenger transportation, issued by the Ministry of Transport.
Instructions
Step 1
Register as an individual entrepreneur or create a legal entity - both a company and an individual entrepreneur can carry out passenger transportation. Write a business plan for a fixed-route taxi fleet, especially carefully calculate all the upcoming expenses (one-time and permanent) that are associated with the full functioning of your car depot (the cost of the cars themselves, car insurance, gasoline, maintenance, washing, salaries for drivers and other personnel, leasing payments, base rental). If after that you are still ready to continue, then you can move from planning to business.
Step 2
Decide which minibuses you will use for your minibus (domestic "Gazelles" or their imported counterparts). Purchase at least five cars under a leasing scheme, otherwise you will find yourself far beyond the threshold of profitability. Find a suitable place for equipping the base (preferably outside the city), prepare everything you need for its effective functioning.
Step 3
Start looking for minibus drivers, build up a talent pool and immediately work out a driver search scheme for the future. The park usually has one or two dispatchers preparing cars for departure, they will also need to be hired. Entrust the accounting department of your company to professionals - you can contact a company that provides the appropriate services.
Step 4
Carefully analyze the public transport scheme in the area where you intend to work. Try to find “weak points” in it that leave the opportunity to enter the passenger transportation market. Either put your transport on existing routes, or develop new ones that, in your opinion, may become in demand.
Step 5
Gather together all the documents about your company, its taxation, qualifications of its employees, vehicles, and submit them to the Ministry of Transport to obtain a state license. Having received it, you can safely put your route taxis on routes and start transporting people.
