The mode of operation of the inspections of the Federal Tax Service of Russia with taxpayers, which is currently in force, replaced the 5-day 40-hour working week quite a long time ago. It assumes the mandatory presence of at least two working Saturdays in each month. The transition to such a schedule was carried out in connection with the standardization of the reception time within the framework of the regulations for servicing taxpayers by all tax authorities of the country.
The principle of interaction of any Russian with the Federal Tax Service is simple: he is obliged to "pay taxes and sleep peacefully." The task of the tax services is not only to control the taxpayer, but also to create the necessary conditions for him to fulfill his obligations to pay taxes. However, many of us, when contacting the tax office, have repeatedly faced problems: the difficulty of obtaining high-quality advice, the presence of queues, difficulties in filling out tax returns, etc. Therefore, the FTS is consistently implementing the concept of servicing taxpayers adopted in 2011.
As part of this regulation, the work schedule was changed in all tax services, which became mandatory for them. Two days a week, the working day is extended to 20 hours, and two Saturdays of each month are working with reception hours from 10-00 to 15-00.
However, a different operating mode is possible, which determines the category of the tax inspectorate. Service of taxpayers on a territorial basis is carried out by the regional IFTS. Interdistrict inspectorates have somewhat expanded functionality: state registration of tax entities, execution of various documents, interaction with major taxpayers, etc.
Often, the opening hours of operating rooms differ from the general schedule (as a rule, they work only on weekdays, but without a lunch break).

What is the working schedule of the tax authorities
As a general rule, all IFTS are open on weekdays from 9 am to 6 pm. On Friday, the working day of inspectors is shortened to 16-45. For the convenience of taxpayers, weekly receptions on Tuesdays and Thursdays are held until 20:00. Working days are two Saturdays of each month (second and fourth) from 10:00 to 15:00. Measures to improve the work of the IFTS
The Tax Code of the Russian Federation stipulates that the calendar year is the main tax period for which organizations, and individual entrepreneurs, and the self-employed population, and ordinary citizens must be accountable. Obviously, the urgency of appealing to the tax authorities increases in the last 1, 5 - 2 months of the expiring year. At this time, the Contact Center of the Federal Tax Service of Russia is working in an enhanced mode, answering calls, in addition to weekdays, also on Saturdays.
All federal and regional tax services extend the time for working with taxpayers, including by accepting citizens on additional Saturdays, establishing a special mode of operation in the following cases:

On the eve of December 1 - the deadline for payment of property taxes for the previous year. As a rule, from the beginning of November until the end of the calendar year, all inspections, as well as the Contact Center, work according to a special schedule.
Property taxes - During the period of the declaration company, which falls on the months of March-April, when organizations report on their activities, and most individuals need to declare information about income received last year. The "declaration" schedule sets the working hours of the IFTS on Monday and Wednesday one hour more. In the operating rooms, the worker is announced every Saturday from 10 to 15 hours. Such a schedule allows everyone to report their income at a convenient time for them.
In order to improve the quality of service to taxpayers, the FTS organizes various events.
- An open day for owners of real estate, transport, land. It is held annually on one of Fridays (from 9:00 to 18:00) and Saturdays (from 10:00 to 15:00) of November. The days were not chosen by chance, but on the eve of the deadline for paying local taxes. At the inspector's appointment, you can sort out the notification received, inform about the registration and deregistration of taxable items, submit an application for benefits, make a reconciliation and recalculation of taxes.
- In order for tax officials to help those who applied correctly and in a timely manner to report on income tax, similar days are held in March-April, during the declaration campaign for personal income tax.
- For consultations on topical issues of tax legislation in the inspectorates, it is customary to set aside Saturday. Representatives of organizations, entrepreneurs and individuals can receive clarifications in connection with changes in taxation procedures, reporting regulations, etc. The days of consultation are appointed on the topic that causes the greatest number of questions and are regularly held in all territorial offices of the Federal Tax Service. So, for example, on June 30 in the Samara region in 10 duty tax inspectorates a single day was organized to advise entrepreneurs on the use of CCP and registration of online cash registers.
FTS and regional tax inspectorates participate in the All-Russian Day of Reception of Citizens. It is being held on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation on Constitution Day, starting in 2013, in all government agencies.
