Citizens of the Russian Federation have the right to receive compensation for pre-reform deposits by contacting a branch of the Savings Bank of the Russian Federation. In this case, you must have a certain package of documents with you. Before contacting the bank, it is advisable to independently calculate the compensation for deposits.
Instructions
Step 1
Check out the regulatory documents that determine the category of citizens eligible to receive compensation for deposits, as well as the procedure for calculating compensation payments. The main document in this case is Article 17 of the Federal Law No. 371-FZ of November 30, 2011.
Step 2
Determine if you are eligible for deposit compensation. If you are a citizen of the Russian Federation and were born before 1945 inclusive, then you are entitled to compensation payments in three times the balance of the amount as of 20.06.1991. If you were born in the period from 1946 to 1991, then the compensation is paid in double the amount. Moreover, for both cases, the contribution is determined in the face value of banknotes in force in 1991.
Step 3
Find out the balance of the deposit as of 20.06.1991, and also calculate the amount of previously received compensation. After that, it is necessary to determine the compensation coefficient, which depends on the storage period of deposits. If the contribution is valid to the present, then the value is taken 1. For deposits closed in 1995, the value of 0.9 is taken for calculation, in 1994 - 0.8, in 1993 - 0.7, in 1992 - 0.6 If the deposit was closed from 20.06.1991 to 31.12.1991, then the compensation coefficient is zero.
Step 4
Calculate compensation for deposits in accordance with the established form. Three-fold compensation payment is equal to the product of the deposit balance as of 20.06.1991 and the compensation coefficient multiplied by three, minus the previously received amounts. If you are provided with a two-fold amount of compensation, then you need to multiply by two.
Step 5
Determine the amount of compensation payments for the deceased owner of the deposit. The heirs can be reimbursed for the cost of funeral services in the amount of 6 thousand rubles, provided that the contribution was more than 400 rubles. If the amount is less than 400 rubles, then compensation is issued, which is equal to the balance of the deposit multiplied by 15.
