One form of subpoenas and notices is a subpoena. It contains the name of the court and the addressee, the place and time of the upcoming court session, the name of the case and an indication as to whom the addressee is called.

Step 1
Summons sent by the court by mail or through the person to whom the judge instructed to deliver them, are not paid by the addressee, they are delivered free of charge. The issue of paying subpoenas can only be considered from the position that the person who received such a document incurred certain costs associated with the appearance and presence in court.
Step 2
Article 94 of the Civil Procedure Code of the Russian Federation fixes the types of costs that can be called legal costs. Along with the rest, these include the travel and accommodation costs of the participants in the case associated with appearing in court, as well as compensation for the loss of time in cases where an unfounded claim was filed by an unscrupulous party or this party systematically interfered with the correct and timely consideration of the case.
Step 3
The Labor Code of the Russian Federation also contains an article stating that persons performing state or public duties not only do not lose their place of work and daily wages, but also receive certain compensation. These duties also include the appearance of a citizen in court as an expert, specialist, witness, translator or victim.
Step 4
The amount, sources and procedure of the indicated payments are determined in the Code of Civil Procedure of the Russian Federation. So, the work of specialists and experts, performed on behalf of the court, is paid if it does not relate to their direct official duties. The amount of payments is determined by agreement with specialists and experts and by agreement with the parties.
Step 5
Witnesses, experts and specialists are paid travel and accommodation expenses associated with their attendance at court, as well as daily subsistence allowances. Non-working witnesses are compensated for the time spent and distraction from their usual affairs, based on the actual time spent and the minimum wage. In each specific case, it is necessary to be guided by the norms of the current legislation and the role in the court of the person who received the summons.
