Apartment owners have to pay utility bills every month. However, often the receipts contain a fee even for those services that, in fact, were not available for the current period. For example, the water supply was turned off in the house, and there is a certain amount in the ticket opposite the "water" column.
In such cases, citizens have the right to demand from the management company (MC) a recalculation according to the receipt. You will need a visit to the Criminal Code and some documents.
Instructions
Step 1
Come to the office of your management company and write a statement. In it, indicate for what period and for what reason you are asking to recalculate for utility bills. Take with you the last receipt you received, as well as your passport or other document proving your identity.
Step 2
Attach copies of documents confirming your right to recalculation with the application. For example, if during the past month you did not live at home and did not use utilities, because you were in the hospital, take the appropriate certificate. Your absence from the city will be confirmed by tickets, a travel certificate or a tourist voucher, hotel reservation, and so on.
Step 3
Make sure that the representative of the management company registers your written request. Take yourself a copy of the application with a note that it is accepted for consideration, with the date and registration number.
