Sberbank issues plastic cards of several payment systems: its own system that issues AS Sbercard cards, and international Visa and MasterCard. All cards have a validity period. AS Sbercards are valid for 12 or 24 months from the date of issue, and Visa and MasterCard cards are valid for 3 years. If at the end of the validity period of the card you need to continue using it, the card should be renewed (in the case of AS Sbercard) or replaced.
It is necessary
- • Passport of the card holder
- • Sberbank card to be exchanged
Instructions
Step 1
To extend the validity period of the AS Sbercard, a card re-issue is not required. You just come with an AS Sbercard card and a passport to the branch of Sberbank where you received the card, fill out an application in the prescribed form and the card is extended for the period specified by you. If you wish, during the card renewal procedure, you can change the pin code.
Step 2
The expiration date of cards of international payment systems is indicated on the front side of the card. At the end of the specified month, the card is no longer valid and must be replaced. As a rule, Sberbank re-issues plastic cards automatically without prior request. There may be exceptions if there was no movement of funds on the card at all, i.e. it was not used throughout the entire period. But the card will be reissued anyway, maybe within the usual release period (2-3 weeks).
Step 3
After the expiration of the validity period with the card and passport, you must appear at the branch of Sberbank where the card was issued. As a rule, the card in your name should already be in the bank's vault. In this case, the old card is destroyed in front of your eyes, and in return you get a new one. The current account of the card and its number remain the same for you. You will also receive an envelope with a new pin code. The balance of funds stored on the current account of the old card is automatically transferred to the new one. The new card can be used immediately from the moment of receipt.
