Step 1
Retail sales of jewelry can be carried out through a specialized distribution network, including jewelry stores and related departments of department stores. The sale of such products in the small-scale retail network, in the markets and by hand is prohibited.

Existing requirements impose on stores and departments selling jewelry, the obligation to have weighing instruments of the appropriate types and accuracy class. In this case, measuring instruments must have a state stamp and be tested in accordance with the procedure established by regulatory enactments.

Special requirements are also imposed on employees of enterprises engaged in customer service. They must be professionally trained, know the assortment and characteristics of the goods, including the names of precious metals, their samples, the names of stones, their color, weight, cut shape.

The seller must be able to give the buyer qualified advice when choosing a product and transfer to the buyer a product that meets the quality requirements for it.
Step 5
The buyer can freely choose the product, check its quality, completeness, weight and price. The buyer has the right to require the seller to provide him with a control and measuring device and documents confirming the price of a particular product.

Jewelry products cannot be returned or exchanged if they are of proper quality.

If defects or falsification of the product are identified in the product, the buyer can demand from the organization that sold the product to eliminate the defects free of charge, reimburse the costs of eliminating the defects, replace the product with a similar one, reduce the price, and compensate for the losses incurred.

Sold jewelry must contain a marking that carries information about the name of the product, the manufacturer's trademark, the name of the metal alloy. The sample, the weight of the product, the price per gram, or the price of the entire product should also be indicated.
Step 9
The sold jewelry must have sealed trademarks that are attached to the weight item with a thread. In some cases, the trademark may be individually wrapped.

It is prohibited to trade in jewelry without an imprint of the state assay mark.

The sale of jewelry is made out with a sales receipt, which is issued in two copies, one of which is handed over to the buyer.
