Although the dollar has revived recently, it is unlikely to face a full recovery by the end of the year. Therefore, a win-win option, especially if you are going to Europe, would be to exchange it for the euro. But how? There are four optimal ways to exchange.

Step 1
Go to the exchange office, get rubles for dollars, then buy euros for these rubles. There is only one advice: you should not go to the exchange office closest to you, but to the place where there is the smallest difference between the rates of the euro and the dollar. The option, of course, is not the most advanced, but very fast, reasonable and affordable. Especially when it comes to small amounts. There are two drawbacks: firstly, in exchange offices the dollar rate is lower than the official one, and the euro rate is higher; secondly, these are always two operations, for each of which a certain commission is taken.
Step 2
Exchange dollars for euros immediately at a special cross-rate, if the dollar costs, for example, 0, 8 euros, and we are not talking about any additional currency (in our case, rubles). Direct exchange is cheaper in some cases. But not all banks exchange currency in this way. Also, this method will not necessarily be beneficial at all. It is important to remember that the numbers here are different and change every day.
Step 3
Open two accounts: in euros and dollars, and then transfer money from one to the other. The rate is different here, and it can also be lower than the previous ones, and maybe even higher. This is influenced by the bank that determines the rates, as well as the current situation. Opening and maintaining an account does not require additional costs. At the same time, the euro account can be linked to a plastic card, which will be very convenient for traveling with it to Europe.
Step 4
Go to Europe with dollars and exchange for euros there. But this option is only for reference and for completeness of the picture. The experts are unanimous here: in any case, the losses in such an exchange will be greater than in the case of its alternatives in Russia. In addition, it will be much more difficult to do this abroad if you have never been to the country where you plan to travel before, do not know the local language and are not very good at locating.
