Step 1
Go to the nearest branch of Sberbank. Take your identity document (passport) with you. If you are a citizen of the Russian Federation, then one document will be enough to open a personal account. In turn, foreigners will need to provide a passport and a second document confirming their right to stay in Russia.
Step 2
Contact a Sberbank employee who works in the deposit operations department with a question on opening a bank personal account. At the same time, try to tell the specialist in detail how you want to use your personal account in the future (in what currency you need to open a current account, as well as what types of transactions you are going to perform with funds using your personal account).
Step 3
Provide the Sberbank specialist with the original passport. It will be needed to draw up a contract for opening a personal account, which will be generated in two copies. At the same time, please note that your copy of this agreement must have the seal of Sberbank. It is possible that an employee of the account opening department will ask you to leave a sample of your signature on a special card. This is necessary for her identification. Indeed, in this case, all documents signed by you at Sberbank in the future will have to contain exactly the same signature as in the sample.
Step 4
Read the contract carefully. Then, if you have no further questions, sign it. If you have any questions, then ask a Sberbank employee to explain everything to you. After that, you can put your own money into your newly opened personal account for safekeeping. To do this, go to the operating cash desk with an agreement on opening a personal account, a passport and the required amount of money. In some branches of Sberbank, employees of the deposit department can themselves provide all the necessary documents to the cashier, and you will only need to come up with the money to the cash department.
