Step 1
As a general rule, one month before reaching retirement age, you should contact the HR department of the company where you work. The personnel officer is obliged to collect your package of documents and transfer them to the client service of the pension fund in the area where the employee lives or is registered.
Step 2
If a citizen does not work or the personnel service does not deal with the registration of an employee's pension, you can contact the FIU yourself. To do this, you need to collect the maximum number of documents, starting with a work book for the entire period of work (there may be several books) and ending with birth certificates of children, including those who are not alive.
Step 3
If the documents are not fully collected, the customer service employee will write a memo, what other documents and in what time frame need to be provided. In the pension fund, you will need to write an application for the appointment of a pension. If not all documents are provided, the employee will accept the application with the “missing” ones.
Step 4
For the appointment of a pension to minors (pension for the loss of a breadwinner, for example) or incapacitated citizens (due to disability), their legal guardians apply. They also fill out an application in the pension fund, but they enter not only the pensioner's data into the form, but also their own.
Step 5
Within a month after submitting an application with a full package of documents, the pension will be assigned and sent for payment. It will be possible to receive the first "pension" as early as next month (for example, the birthday is in February, and the first pension will come in March)
