Denim clothing is always in fashion as it is practical, comfortable and relatively inexpensive. Maintaining the assortment, the convenient location of the premises and the organization of regular deliveries are what an entrepreneur should pay attention to when deciding to open a jeans store.
Instructions
Step 1
To start trading in denim clothing (as, indeed, any other) should be done with the assessment and analysis of the existing market. You will need to first find out which brands are preferred by customers and at what prices. To do this, be sure to check out the assortment presented in competitors' stores. Calculate the dynamics of sales, so as not to open a store during one of the so-called "dead seasons" (usually January, the time for the holiday savings; July, the time of holidays).
Step 2
Make a business plan for your store. Calculate the approximate level of expenses, income and profits. Decide if you will be self-employed or enter the franchise system. It depends, firstly, on what funds you have at your disposal, and secondly, what sales are you planning. After all, if the business "does not go" even under the franchise, then you will simply have nothing to pay royalties. But on the other hand, you will not have problems with suppliers and advertising.
Step 3
If you have not yet registered an individual entrepreneur, do it by contacting the tax office. You can get additional funds for opening a store by contacting the bank for a loan and providing a reliable collateral or surety.
Step 4
Rent a suitable space. In the city center, you have to pay a lot for rent. But if you don't raise prices too much, capital turnover will accelerate. It will be cheaper to maintain a store in residential areas or even on the territory of the market, but be prepared for the fact that in order to increase the pace of sales, you will have to arrange sales from time to time almost at the purchase price.
Step 5
Buy or rent shop equipment and find suppliers of the goods. If you have entered the franchising system of one of the well-known companies, you do not have to worry about this. And you should look for suppliers on your own through advertisements in the media and on the Internet. If you want to work directly, you will have to be constantly on the move, since you can buy cheap jeans for the purpose of their subsequent resale only in Turkey, China, Italy, etc. (depending on what brands and what quality you decide to focus on).
Step 6
Find good sellers who understand not only the rules of the trade, but also the fashion. Since, despite the fact that jeans will never become outdated, designers offer something new every season. And so that the level of sales does not decrease, you and your employees will have to constantly monitor all changes in the fashion world and arrange sales in time in order to replace the collection.
