Electronic trading platforms are sites that provide an opportunity for buyers and suppliers of goods, works and services to interact with each other via the Internet. Any organizations, individual entrepreneurs and individuals can participate in auctions and conclude transactions on the websites of trading floors.
Types and types of electronic trading platforms
- Official (federal), they are also called B2G (business-to-government). Here are tenders from customers - budgetary organizations.
- Electronic commercial platforms - B2B (business-to-business). Here the customers are business organizations. They differ depending on who organizes and supports them: buyers or, conversely, suppliers, or site owners are their intermediaries. This type of site is more common than the first two.
- The sites where individuals buy and sell are C2C (consumer-to-consumer).
- On electronic platforms B2C (business-to-consumer), a company, a legal entity, trades mainly with individuals.
- Specialized, for example, a platform for the sale of property of debtors (bankrupts) or operating within a certain sector of the economy.
Legal entities, operators of electronic trading platforms can be participants in the existing unified system in the field of public procurement, if they own the necessary equipment and means that allow them to conduct tenders. They receive the appropriate powers, fulfill all the necessary requirements, and then formally interact with the state public procurement website.

Currently, nine online trading platforms are active participants in the contract system on the public procurement website. Budgetary state institutions have the right to place tenders only here - in a unified information system. You can find their links on any page of the public procurement website.
