According to statistics, for counterfeiters, the most attractive is the thousand-ruble note, and the most secure is the five-thousandth one. This fact does not exclude the appearance of counterfeits for other bills. Counterfeit money can become a big nuisance for an ordinary user, so it is necessary to know the rules for their authentication.
Instructions
Step 1
Pay attention to the watermarks first. You may notice that the tones are unevenly distributed on a real bill. At the same time, there is a smooth transition from dark to light shades. On counterfeit money, the watermark is usually dark and solid, or none at all.
Step 2
Look at the security thread, which is a shiny metallic strip sewn through the bill. At first glance, it looks like five small dotted rectangles. It is also worth noting that on a real thousand rubles, the number "1" in the image of the denomination seems to run over a strip. On fakes, this thread is located on top of the unit.
Step 3
Pay attention to the micro-perforation by placing the bill against the light source. Slide your finger along the back of the screen. If you feel unevenness, then it is fake. Feel the banknote, you will not feel the roughness of a real banknote.
Step 4
Check the coat of arms of Yaroslavl (bear) on the thousand-ruble bill, which is made in variable paint. If the banknote is tilted slightly, the image will change its color from crimson to golden-green. Thus, if the color does not change, then it is safe to say that the money is fake.
Step 5
Pay attention to the inscription "Ticket of the Bank of Russia" in the upper right corner of the front side of the bill. If you run your finger over it, you can feel that it has a relief structure. In addition, in the lower part of the narrow field of the banknote there is a relief mark for people with poor eyesight.
Step 6
Check the bill for a moiré effect. If you look at certain parts of the banknote at a right angle, they seem to be uniform in color, and when the angle of view changes, they break up into colored stripes that smoothly merge into each other. This area is located on the front side of the bill on the ornamental strip located to the left of the main drawing.
