Unfortunately, money is counterfeited very often in our country. But how to quickly recognize a counterfeit bill, and so that later there would be no serious problems? There are many ways that will help us distinguish a real thousand-ruble bill from fakes.

Instructions

Step 1

First you need to know the protective properties of money. For a sample, let's take a thousand-ruble banknote issued in 2004. It has all the necessary degrees of protection: moiré effect, metallized security thread, laser microperforation, color-variable paint, watermarks.

Now let's consider the degree of banknote protection in more detail.

Step 2

Variable color paint.

On fakes, paint is often used that changes the shade of color, or they use a special varnish. As a result, the person turns over the bill and sees that the red color has become darker. As a result, the impression of a change in tones is formed. With this technique, counterfeiters manage to fool most of the people. However, since the paint is referred to as "color-shifting" and not "hue-changing", regular nail polish may also be used. From afar, it gleams, but does not change its own color. This is worth considering.

Step 3

Metallized security thread.

A diving security thread is introduced into the paper, which is a metallized plastic strip. On visual inspection, it looks like 5 sparkling rectangles 2 mm wide, emerging on the surface of currency symbols with the formation of a dotted line on only one - the reverse side. When viewing the banknote "through light", the metallized thread looks like a continuous black stripe with regular edges.

Step 4

Laser microperforation.

To detect holes, you just need to "enlighten" the bill. The applied marks are perfectly visible even in low-power light. To the touch, the safety mark does not give itself out in any way, since the holes are burned with a laser (and not pierced with a narrow needle like in lime products). Also, the surface of the bill remains smooth without any roughness.

Step 5

Clipping effect.

It is an extremely counterfeit-resistant visual security sign, but it takes experience and 3-5 seconds of time to control it.

Step 6

Watermark.

Watermarks are placed on the coupon fields of banknotes: on the narrow one - the digital designation of the denomination, on the wide one - the portrait of Yaroslav the Wise.

Step 7

Moire effect.

It is contained in the fact that a certain area of the banknote, when viewed at a right angle, is seen as almost uniform in accordance with the color, while when the angle of view changes, it breaks up into color stripes smoothly passing into each other. This area should be located on the front side of the updated banknotes, on the ornamental strip to the left of the main drawing.
