Sberbank officially began its activities in this country in 2001, when the National Bank of Ukraine granted it the right to carry out banking activities, registering it in the list of national banks under number 277.

In total, the number of the bank's clients in Ukraine among individuals is about 850 thousand, among legal entities - about 25 thousand, and about 20 thousand of them are small and medium-sized businesses, and the remaining clients are large industrial and other enterprises playing leading role in the economy of the state.
