Step 1

By law, individuals and legal entities are obliged to pay due taxes to a special state body - the Federal Treasury. This institution regulates and directs state taxes to the budgets of three levels - federal, regional and local. Every year, the State Duma holds a special referendum, at which, through the adoption of appropriate legislative acts, tax funds are distributed among various constituent entities of Russia in accordance with the approved budgets.

Step 2

The taxes collected and distributed among the constituent entities of the country are subsequently spent on various needs, most often social ones. For example, a certain part of the funds is allocated for the salaries of those who work in the public sector - doctors and teachers. The budget also provides for subsidies and investments, repayment of public debt, execution of defense orders, as well as various acquisitions for the state.

Step 3

Many state institutions are supported by taxes received into the federal budget: schools, hospitals, orphanages, etc. In addition, funds are also allocated for the maintenance of army units and law enforcement agencies: the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB, etc. The state also needs funds for the implementation of various target programs and national priority projects in the field of education, agriculture, and construction. These expenses are covered by budgets of all levels.

Step 4

Paying taxes is a strictly mandatory procedure for all citizens. Its implementation is monitored by a special body - the tax inspectorate, whose offices are located in all major cities. Tax evasion or other fraud is punishable by law and provides for both the imposition of administrative fines and criminal liability.
