When the time comes to apply for a pension, a citizen has the right to choose any way of receiving it convenient for himself - through Russian Post offices, a bank plastic card, or by transferring to a book opened at the Savings Bank of Russia. Having made a choice, he will only have to write a corresponding statement to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation.

Step 1
The Pension Fund of the Russian Federation has a long-term agreement with the Russian Post, according to which all pensioners have the opportunity to receive a pension on a set day of the month at the branch nearest to their home. Those of them who do not have the ability or desire to go to the department can write a statement and the postman will bring them money right to their homes that day.
Step 2
Another long-standing and trusted partner of the Pension Fund is the Savings Bank of Russia, to whose accounts a pensioner can transfer his pension and receive it either on a savings book or on a plastic card. The last pensioner can start in any credit institution, not only in the Savings Bank, in accordance with the rules for the payment of pensions established by the Federal Laws "On Labor Pensions" and "On State Pensions". According to them, the delivery of labor pensions can be handled by any organization chosen at the discretion of a citizen. His duty is to notify the territorial body of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation in writing.
Step 3
It is best to choose the method of delivery of the pension in advance, before you contact the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation regarding its registration. In the event that you have made the traditional choice and decided to transfer your pension to the book, you need to contact the branch of the Savings Bank of the Russian Federation where you want to receive your pension. The operator will help you fill out the application form for opening an account and, accordingly, the savings book "linked" to this account. In addition to the book itself, you will receive an agreement in your hands, which will indicate all the bank details necessary for transferring the pension: the name of the bank and the number of the branch, the correspondent and current account. Make a copy of this agreement - it will be required by the Pension Fund along with the original.
Step 4
When registering a pension or after it has been credited to you and it was delivered by mail, fill out a unified application form with the Pension Fund inspector to transfer your pension to an open savings book. The inspector will ask you to show the original agreement with the bank, and a copy of this agreement will be attached to your application. The money will begin to flow to the passbook in a month or two after you wrote the application.
