Acrylic glass is one of the most valuable materials in the advertising business today. Despite the high cost, their popularity continues to grow - after all, the advantages of acrylic glass are worth all the money spent on them. How are these glasses used in the advertising business?
All about acrylic glass
The most valuable acrylic glasses are cast grades, in which there are no internal mechanical stresses, irregularities and defects inherent in extrusion varieties. Acrylic glasses are made from a modern innovative polymer that is resistant to UV rays, yellowing and wear, besides, they surpass conventional glass in terms of transparency and are highly durable.
The impact resistance of a quality acrylic sheet is at least five times higher than that of standard display glass.
Acrylic does not deform at high temperatures and does not crack at low degrees. Chemically, acrylic glasses are resistant to inorganic substances such as acids, salts, alkalis and solutions. At the same time, they can dissolve under the influence of organic substances - ketones, ethers and chlorine derivatives from hydrocarbons. Another advantage of acrylic glass is its low weight, which allows it to successfully displace standard glass from the market for related products.
Acrylic glass in advertising
Acrylic glass with white color and excellent light diffusion properties is often used in illuminated advertising. It ideally hides the location of the luminaires (even at close range), allowing for the flattest possible light box. And the variety with a smoky or tinted gray / brown sheet is most in demand for exhibition stands, display designs, interiors for various partitions, and so on.
Some acrylics can be used to make a wide variety of laser cut and thermoformed office and other products.
Multicolored acrylic glasses with a transparency effect have good spectral properties, thanks to which they are used in advertising, LED technology, color filters for displays, as well as for the production of stained glass windows, showcases and much more. Completely opaque acrylic sheets, painted in different colors, have a high hiding power, which is why they are called acrylic plastic. This type of acrylic sheet does not transmit light, even when the glass is completely white. In the advertising business, such plastic is widely in demand in the manufacture of tags, plates and numbers, as well as mosaics, panels and decoration of premises / exhibition stands.
