Parents usually start thinking about organizing children's recreation shortly before summer holidays. Not everyone likes the existing camps. You can try to organize a children's camp on your own, and not only in the summer. It can work at any time of the year, even during the short spring break.

  • - suitable premises;
  • - tourist equipment;
  • - samples of accounting documentation.

Instructions

Step 1

Estimate what forces you have and for the organization of which camp they will be enough. They differ in terms of working hours, accommodation, children staying in them. The camp can operate all year round, season or part of the season. Children can be accommodated in a stationary room, in tents or in a rented space. The child can be in the camp around the clock, day, or several hours. Quite often, such an organizational form as accommodation in the families of local residents is used. As a rule, these are creative or sports exchange camps. Choose a suitable camp form.

Step 2

Check out the regulations. Sanitary requirements for children's camps are quite strict, they must be observed. This is especially true for camps with round-the-clock stay of children. Please note that in any case, you will have to invite employees of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Service. Therefore, immediately try to comply with all legal requirements.

Step 3

Choose the focus of the camp. It can be health-improving, sports, labor, aesthetic, intellectual. Think about what the children will be doing there. Try to get the support of your local government. As a rule, children's camps are subordinate to the department of education. But they can be organized by the sports committee, and the culture department, and the department of social protection of the population, and religious organizations. Suggest your idea and convince the representative of the relevant structure of its expediency. They can help you find premises and even get funding, as well as resolve issues with supervisory authorities.

Step 4

Find a room. Its size depends on the number of children, their length of stay and orientation. The room must comply with safety requirements, including fire. Contact the department of management of municipal or state property, find out about the availability of such premises in the locality you need and about the cost of their rent. Invite an employee of the State Fire Supervision Service to check. Try to choose a room that does not need major renovations. Prepare the required amount of camping equipment for the campground. In addition to living tents, there should be something like a headquarters and a medical office, as well as a place to store food.

Step 5

Consider catering. If you are setting up a camp in a school or kindergarten, you can feed the children there. In the absence of catering units, arrange with the canteen or cafe. You can sign a contract for permanent service, develop an approximate menu and calculate the approximate cost of food for each month and for the day. In the campground, designate a place for the kitchen. You can cook both on a fire and on gas stoves. In the latter case, you need to take care of the cylinders.

Step 6

Recruit staff. Regardless of whether your like-minded people will work with children on a voluntary basis or you have to hire specialists, make a list in advance. Future employees should be able to get health records in advance and undergo a medical examination. Those who constantly work with children or at public catering establishments do not need an additional medical examination if their old one is not expired.

Step 7

Having estimated all the possible costs, make an estimate and think about where you will get the money. There are many opportunities. It is possible to organize the camp entirely at the expense of the parents. This is the best option in a situation where you do not need to involve any specialists, and money is needed only for food, travel, purchase of materials for classes, etc. If all parents work at the same enterprise, you can try to contact its management. With the support of local governments, you can get funding from the budget. True, only if you take care of the future camp about a year before its opening.
