Develop a technical assignment and select the optimal elements for solving the assigned tasks (sensors and control devices, for example, at the work of machines that produce cables, kits for collecting and processing the received information, various interface devices - control panels for the work of production dispatchers, monitors) …

Develop design and estimate documentation (automation schemes, electrical schematic diagrams, descriptions of these control algorithms and systems).

Step 4

Make programs that implement algorithms for controlling new equipment (lower control level) and algorithms for collecting and processing the information received (upper control level).

Provide the necessary equipment. Follow the installation and commissioning work.

Remember that it is necessary to strive for total (changing over time) production automation. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out vertical and horizontal integration of all levels (especially end devices, for example, machines for the production of technological lines, electrical equipment, production sites, as well as the entire company) by hardware and software integration of control systems at each level. At the same time, the latter should remain open for further changes, for example, an increase in the number of generated elements. A vertically integrated structure can be depicted in the form of a pyramid, where at the lowest level are the final devices (controllers, sensors, starters), and in the middle is the degree of control with operator stations and controllers. In turn, the upper part is the production management, and all together it should be united by local or global computer networks, which are located under the control of special software.
