You bought a product, but at home found that it does not fit you in size or color. Or maybe you just succumbed to the thrill of shopping, and now you understand that the purchased item is superfluous. What to do in this case and is it possible to get the money back?
It is necessary
- - knowledge of the Law "On consumer rights",
- - confidence.
Instructions
Step 1
If everything is in order with the purchased item, you can still return it within 14 days from the date of purchase, if it is not listed in the list of non-returnable items. Moreover, all labels and seals must be in place, the packaging is intact, and the purchased item must not have any traces of use. The absence of a sales receipt does not deprive the buyer of the opportunity to apply for a return. But in this case, everything depends on the seller - whether he will meet you halfway or not - the law does not oblige him to do this.
Step 2
Please note that the law deals with the exchange of goods for a similar one, if it does not fit in size, style, dimensions, color, configuration. And only if there is no product suitable for replacement in the store on the day of contact, the money is returned to the buyer. That is, if you intend to return money for the purchased shoes, you should not indicate in the application that they did not fit you in size.
Step 3
In large chain stores, there are usually no problems with the return of goods - it is enough to come there with a passport and fill out an application form on the spot. The money must be returned to you within three days.
Step 4
The situation may be different with small shops. If the store employees refused you, write a statement in duplicate for the return of the goods, indicating the name of the seller, the name of the store and its address, your passport details, address and telephone number. In your application, indicate the titles of the articles of the Law on Consumer Rights to which you are referring. The shop employee who accepted the application must sign it, indicating the date. Keep one signed copy for yourself. You can also duplicate the statement by e-mail - it is usually read by the store administration.
Step 5
As a rule, these actions are enough to convince everyone of the seriousness of your intentions. And, if there is no good reason for refusal, your claims are met. Otherwise, you can contact the Consumer Rights Protection Society of your city.
Step 6
But what if the product purchased via the Internet turned out to be completely different from what you imagined it to be, and you don't like it at all? If it is not a custom made item for you, you have the right to return it to the store within seven days of receipt. The packaging and labels must be intact. The seller is obliged to return the money to you within ten days from the date of your claim. In this case, the costs of delivering the goods to the seller are borne by you, unless otherwise described in your Agreement with the seller.
