In the 90s, the demand for security services was extremely high, and private security companies (PSCs) opened in large numbers. Instructions
Step 1
After the registration of a private security company as a legal entity, it is necessary to obtain a license in accordance with the established procedure for its activities, issued for a period of 5 years. In addition, the Licensing Office will conduct a scheduled review of your organization's performance on a quarterly basis.
Step 2
If a private security company uses weapons in its activities, then the manager is obliged to comply with all the requirements for its storage and use. It is necessary to equip a special room, surrounded on all sides by bars, an iron door, a safe, an alarm and a panic button. There should also be a round-the-clock security of the room. You will need a separate room for loading weapons, the walls of which are lined with a bullet-proof coating. In addition, the arsenal of the private security company may include gas canisters, stun guns, rubber sticks, gas and traumatic weapons, and handcuffs.
Step 3
In most cases, a former law enforcement or intelligence officer is at the head of the private security company. Each employee of the organization must have a private security card, without which the carrying and use of weapons is prohibited. The PSC must insure all of its employees. The company also provides them with uniforms, conducts regular training and shooting in a professional shooting range.
Step 4
Determine the areas of work of the private security company. This can be the protection of objects with the use of weapons and without (providing access control), escorting goods, equipping premises with security equipment, personal and console security. In the latter case, serious financial investments will be required to install the console, equip the rapid response team, which, in addition to workwear and protective equipment, must be provided with telephone communications, a portable radio station, video surveillance equipment and a car.
Step 5
Before opening a private security company, you must already have a base of potential customers. Initially, these may be your acquaintances, who will be able to recommend the company to others in the future. Basically, the success of a private security company determines its reputation in the professional environment.
