An exhibition of children's works is a great way to present a development center, art school or other childcare institution. Drawings, handicrafts made from natural materials, compositions made of clay or plasticine, dolls and soft toys - all this can be beautifully displayed, correctly arranged and presented to the public in an advantageous way. Such an opening day will delight not only adult visitors, but also young authors themselves, because public recognition greatly stimulates creative activity.

Step 1
Choose a topic for your future exhibition. You can imagine works made in different techniques or dwell on only one type of needlework. For example, the opening day “My Favorite Doll” can combine a soft toy, clay crafts, models of clothes for toys, drawings, and products in the style of folk crafts. And the exhibition "I paint the city" will include only drawings made in different techniques.
Step 2
Find a room that is bright and spacious. A combination of daylight and artificial light is desirable. If the main lights are not enough, install lights for work located in the corners.
Step 3
Think over the principle of the arrangement of works. Children's crafts are distinguished by their brightness and spontaneity. Do not line them up in boring rows along the walls. Compose compositions by combining works of a similar style together. If the exhibition is organized for adults (for example, parents) and older children, handicrafts can be displayed in the public domain, so it is more convenient to view and photograph them. If a large influx of people is expected, as well as the presence of kids, put small plastic in the windows.
Step 4
Place the drawings in a mat - these will immediately add solidity to the exhibition. Purchase simple, unpainted light wood frames that won't distract attention from your work. It is most convenient to hang them on stands covered with fabric - such mobile systems are easy to move. If you decide to place the designs on the walls, attach them with a line to a beam that is reinforced under the ceiling.

Provide all works with plates, on them indicate the name of the craft or drawing, the name and age of the author. Simple white plates with large, bright print look best. It's a good idea to supplement them with additional materials - children's poems that are relevant to the topic, information about the author with a photograph, a description of the technique in which the work was made.
Step 6
Opening the exhibition, arrange a real opening day. Draw a colorful billboard and hang it at the entrance. Organize a small buffet - juice, mineral water, tea or coffee plus dry biscuits and sweets will be appreciated by both children and adults. You can arrange a mini-auction of works, invite a journalist from a children's or school newspaper, organize a competition in several nominations. Try to turn the exhibition into a real event in the life of a school, kindergarten or development center.
