In order to receive money from the bank using a checkbook, you must fill in the check correctly. There are certain rules for filling it out. Even a slight deviation from the rules will not allow you to receive money by check. Banks' requirements for filling out a check are much broader than those presented in the filling instructions on the checkbook itself.
Instructions
Step 1
Fill out the check in one step by hand - with a pen and paste, ink in black, blue or purple. Do not make mistakes, blots and corrections. All details of the form must be saved, that is, when filling out, fit into the fields. You can fill out a check on a typewriter in black type.
Step 2
The sum in numbers, start writing from the beginning of the line, without dots or spaces. Cross out the remaining free space after writing the amount with two lines. In the requisite for writing the amount in kopecks, do not dash.
Step 3
After the word "pay" write in ink or ballpoint pen - last name, first name and patronymic.
Step 4
Start writing the amount in words from the beginning of the line, with a capital letter, keeping within the allotted frames. Don't put too much space between words. Indicate the word "rubles" after the amount without the free space left. After the indicated amount in words, cross out the free space with two lines. The lines should not cross the letters on the top line.
Step 5
Put the signatures corresponding to the signatures of the samples in the bank card. Do not go beyond the designated frames, fit into the allotted fields.
Step 6
Place your seal in the designated area. It must fit within the designated framework and be clear. The seal imprint must correspond to the declared sample in the bank card.
Step 7
If you have submitted signatures to the bank and a note that the seal has not been assigned to you, then the check is accepted by the bank without a seal.
Step 8
On the back of the check - separate the amount in figures from the amount of kopecks with a dash.
Step 9
Indicate passport details and who issued the passport.
Step 10
If you made amendments to the check, the bank will not accept it. You will have to fill out another check.
Step 11
The check spine must also be filled in.
Step 12
Damaged receipts and stubs - store for 3 years.
Step 13
When closing an account with this bank - return the checkbook with the remaining unused checks. In the application for closing the account, indicate the numbers of unused and returned checks.
