Step 1

A sales receipt is issued at the time of payment for goods or services.

When drawing up a sales receipt, you must indicate its serial number and date of issue.

Step 2

Next, you should fill in the data about the seller: full name of the individual entrepreneur or the name of the organization; OGRN and its date of issue; number of the certificate of registration and its date of issue. When filling out this data, the sales receipt is valid without a seal.

Step 3

Next, enter the name of the product or service, quantity, price and amount.

When drawing up a sales receipt, it is prohibited to use generalized phrases. For example, you cannot write: "Fishing tackle purchased for the amount of 1100 rubles." Each product must be entered separately, for example: "5 pieces of bait for a fishing rod at the price of 10 rubles; fishing line 5 pieces at 10 rubles; 1 piece of fishing rod at the price of 1,000 rubles."

Step 4

At the end of the document, the total amount for the document is indicated and the signature of the responsible person is put. It is not necessary to put a seal when drawing up a sales receipt if all columns of the document are filled in.

Step 5

Keep the sales receipt for the entire period for which the warranty for the purchased product or service is given. A sales receipt is the primary document, therefore, its storage period for organizations is 5 years.
