It is necessary

  • - diamond;
  • - a certificate for it;
  • - registration at the Assay Office of the Russian Federation.

Instructions

Step 1

Follow the law. Please carefully read the 1998 Law on Precious Metals and Precious Stones. It is he who regulates transactions with precious stones on the territory of the Russian Federation. Violation of it will entail criminal liability.

Step 2

The sale of a diamond cannot be carried out legally in the absence of a special certificate. If you do not have one, contact the laboratory (it must be accredited). Experts will conduct a deep analysis and issue documents for the stone, which will help you in selling it.

Step 3

Set the cost. Based on the data of the certificate (authenticity of the stone, weight, color, clarity, shape and quality of cut), determine the price of your stone according to the price list in force in Russia (if you want to sell it within its borders) or any other country.

Step 4

Register with the Assay Office (details can be found on the website https://www.assay.ru/). Registration is obtained by representatives of firms or individual entrepreneurs. If you do not belong to any of the categories, then you will have to resort to their help. An individual does not have the right to sell diamonds.

Step 5

The sale of a diamond is carried out along with a receipt and a certificate for it. Each stone needs individual packaging. The transaction is formalized by an agreement (contract) for the purchase and sale of rough diamonds and is registered within five working days after the date of the sale. The data is sent to the state controllers of the Ministry of Finance of Russia to record the transaction.
